Marketing and Promotion Division

These programs are charged with planning and organizing the department’s participation in key North America, domestic and International trade shows and missions. It represents and promotes New Mexico at functions, meetings and tourism trade shows (international and domestic); works with community tourism entities to coordinate their participation trade shows and missions; works with support staff to maintain input and update records contacts from trade shows and distribute to community tourism entities and the public; consults with state tourism businesses to increase business to their destination/attraction; supervises and assists in the development of the Mexico-based offices currently located in Chihuahua, Guadalajara and Juarez; contracts, assists and monitors product distribution in Canada and oversea office/contractor; works to develop research, statistical and marketing data on key markets in the United States, Mexico and Canada; and coordinates and escorts travel writer, journalists, travel agents and tour operators on their trips to New Mexico.
