Project Description
The goal of the New Mexico Digital History Project is to create an engagement with New Mexico’s living history, by establishing a premier web portal for historical facts and histories, whereby visitors will be able to navigate through themes that explore the wisdom of places, the significance of events, the complexity of the human condition and the transformative power of storytelling. The website will showcase historical documents and will bring the visitor face to face with New Mexico’s premier documentary collections, video footage, oral histories and photographs.

Project Philosophy
The vision underlying the New Mexico Digital History Project is to reveal New Mexico’s rich historical legacy. When realized in its full breadth, this legacy will encourage students of every age, in turn, to make history.
