Central region of New MexicoFour years ago I was talking to Luke Reed on how I wanted to have an activity out here. How I wanted an afternoon of music combined with a Dutch oven cook-off with craft sales and big feed at the end of the day. But, I wasn't sure on what to call it. Without hesitation Luke said, "Why heck Bob, sounds like a Solanofest to me." Leave it to a prolific songwriter to come up with the right word.

So, here we are four years into it and Solanofest has become a huge success. This success is due in a large part to our sponsors. Thank you to this years "Chuckwagon Level" sponsors, The Bank of Clovis, Community 1st Bank Roy, Ag New Mexico, FCS, ACA and T.E. Mitchell & Son, Inc.

The C - C Chuckwagon, probably the World's most winningest Chuckwagon Cooks, will again be here to judge the cook-off as well as provide a Dutch-oven cooking demonstration.

We have two very good and distinct bands to perform all afternoon for us. Kim & the Caballeros from Taos, NM will be playing their "Big Ol' Twangy Country Music" and Texas Stardust from Lubbock, TX will delight us with some traditional West Texas Ranch Dance Fiddle Music.
