Meet Stevie Lund

Stevie Lund is a ski instructor at Angel Fire Resort who holds PSIA certifications in alpine and freestyle skiing, is on the PSIA-AASI Rocky Mountain Regional Team, has won an X Games Rail Jam silver medal, and has earned multiple accolades, including New Mexico Ski Instructor of the Year. Stevie’s passion for the sport is reflected in her dedication to having her students fall in love with the art of skiing. From teaching youth skiers the basics to helping seasoned veterans perfect their carving and freestyle skills, Stevie’s skillset and love for teaching is what makes her so irreplaceable in New Mexico's ski industry.


 

Visit Angel Fire

Located in north-central New Mexico, Angel Fire is a quaint alpine town with big opportunities for adventure. Angel Fire Resort is home to 80 trails for beginners and experts alike and offers the only night skiing in the state of New Mexico. If you aren't big on downhill thrills, there is snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, tubing, and sledding as well! Visit during the warmer months for some of the best lift-accessed mountain biking trails in the state, or come to experience the small-town charm!

Cruise the Enchanted Circle

While you're in Angel Fire, take a ride and experience all of what the Enchanted Circle has to offer. Cruise through the aspen- and pine-lined switchbacks, step out of the car to take on one of the many towering peaks, or stop and pull out the tent at one of the campsites along the way!


 

Ski Taos Ski Valley

Located in the very center of the Enchanted Circle, the Taos Ski Valley resort provides some of the most rugged and heart-pumping terrain for skiers and snowboarders in New Mexico. Find yourself looking down at chutes and cornices from Kachina Peak — over 12,400 feet above sea level! If you aren't a fan of heights, head to the base for a spin around the ice rink or jump on a snowmobile for a guided tour of the dense mountainous terrain.

Red River Ski & Summer Area, New Mexico Magazine

Ski Red River

Red River Ski and Summer Area has been family-owned and operated for over 60 years and continues to provide family fun and thrilling experiences for those who visit this small ski town. Located 30 miles north of Angel Fire, come take in the cowboy vibes of a former mining town turned winter-adventure paradise. If you're there in the summer, the area also offers up some outdoor adventures, such as ziplining and tubing, in the off-season!


 

Visit Eagle Nest Lake

Eagle Nest Lake State Park is located on the Enchanted Circle next to the small town of Eagle Nest. This alpine lake is stocked with trout and salmon and features some of the only ice fishing in New Mexico. Not just an angler's paradise, here wildlife is abundant, and the park offers campsites, hiking, trails, and boating.
